Submitting information for display on artsci.wustl.edu
Arts & Sciences is interested in helping departments, programs and centers to highlight their important news and information and to demonstrate the great things happening across A&S. To facilitate this process, a new system has been developed to make it easier for department administrators to submit events, news and "home" photographs or other images to be featured on this website. If you are a web adminstrator, please read below.
If you are not a web administrator and you would like to submit news or events, please contact:

Guidelines for submitting information
Three types of content may be submitted: events, news and home photographs (to appear on the home page of the site as part of a slideshow.) For each category of submission, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
Events: Please be somewhat selective in your event submissions and help us highlight those that will be of interest to the A&S community and beyond. As a rule of thumb, please insure that events submitted meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Event holds interest beyond the scope of your immediate department
- Open to the public
- "Signature" or prestigious event for your department
News: If you would promote the item on your department website, it's likely to be of interest on the main site. Some examples of of news items to submit include new awards or honors for faculty members or students, a story in the external media, a new research finding, etc.
Note: an automatic feed of Arts & Sciences news items appearing in The Washington University Record is currently in place. Please do not submit items to the main A&S site that have been previously submitted to The Record.
Home photographs and images: to submit images to be featured on the home page, please use the following criteria:
- Size should be 631 W x 322 L pixels and image should be cropped to size before submission
- File format should be either .png, or .jpg (.jpeg). Photographs should be .jpg/.jpeg format only
- You may choose to submit the image with the quad line ovelay that appears on many images in the slideshow. If you do so, please add the quad line before submitting. If you choose not to add the quad line or want the image to appear without it, we're happy to accept these submissions also
- If you would like assistance with submitting a photo or preparing a photo for submission, assistance is available.
- A link to a department or other website may be added to slideshow images as well as a brief caption explaining the significance of the image. Please see below for contact information on making these additions
Access for making site submissions
Access information has been provided to contacts in all Arts & Sciences departments, programs and centers. Please contact the departmental website administrator for these credentials or to request a submission.
