How can I get access to a practice room?
Practice rooms are located on the second floor of Tietjens Hall and at the 560 Music Center. The practice rooms in Tietjens Hall are open during normal building hours. Only students enrolled in private lessons
are granted 24-hour access to Tietjens Hall after registration has closed. All undergraduates are given card access to the 560 Music Center during building hours
Are there any jobs available for Washington University students?
Yes. The Department offers work-study positions. Job duties range from office work to set-up for various rehearsals and concerts. Please note
that all applicants must be work study eligible.
Where can I keep my instrument?
Students enrolled in lessons or participating in a Department of Music ensemble can store their instruments in lockers at the 560 Music Center. To request an instrument locker,
please visit the administrative staff in Room 107 of the 560 Music Center.
May I post fliers in the music buildings?
Yes, you may mail it in or bring it to the main office. After being approved, it will be posted by a member of the staff.
Is there a lost and found at the Department of Music?
Yes, there is a lost and found in each of the Department of Music's administrative offices, Blewett 101 and 560 Music Center, Room 107. If you do not find your lost item there, please visit the lost and found located
in the Mallinckrodt Center on the 2nd floor or call (314) 935-5234.
