In April, graduate student Tarah Demant will present "My Soul – at Liberty –’: The Poetics of Immortality in Dickinson’s Letters to Susan” at the (dis)junctions: Malappropriation Nation conference at the University of California at Riverside.

In March, graduate student Tarah Demant will present “To be a ‘Literary Artist’: The Anxiety of Creative
Achievement in Constance Fenimore Woolson’s ‘Miss Grief’,” at the Women and Creativity, IX conference at Marquette University.

On November 14, Mona Lena Krook presented her paper "The Impact of Gender Quota Laws" at the International Seminar, "Cuotas en América Latina: el impacto en la representación política de las mujeres" in Santiago, Chile.

In November, Barbara Baumgartner presented her paper, "Wartime Ministrations: The 'Health Department' Column in Godey's Lady's Book" at the Society for the Study of American Women Writers in Philadelphia.
